We’re so excited to welcome Isabella Burley to the SOAS Creative Collective on Wednesday 27 November, 5–7pm at SOAS. The room will be announced soon, so keep an eye on @soascreativecollective for updates.
Isabella is a London-based editor, creative consultant and publisher with a sharp eye for culture and a deep love of books, images and subversion. She has spent the last decade shaping how we see fashion and art, from her six years as Editor-in-Chief at Dazed to her work reviving Helmut Lang and leading Acne Studios as Chief Marketing Officer.
In 2020, she founded Climax Books, an independent bookstore and publishing project that celebrates rare and out-of-print books about sex, art, photography and underground culture. What started online has now become a cult favourite with spaces in London and New York.
Isabella’s work moves between the mainstream and the experimental, blending fashion and publishing in a way that feels natural, surprising and completely her own.
This talk is perfect for anyone curious about fashion, media, art or creative careers, and there will be a Q&A at the end, so bring your questions.
