From Protest to Power: An Energy Revolution Journey
The SOAS Economics Society is hosting a special talk with Howard Johns, energy engineer, entrepreneur and author of Energy Revolution. Howard will explore his journey from frontline climate activism to founding renewable energy organisations and shaping national policy.
Alongside his personal story, Howard will discuss the economic side of the energy transition, including the economics of renewable energy, policy incentives, market failures, community energy models, and how sustainability can be understood through an economics lens.
The event will conclude with an open Q&A, giving students the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with Howard’s insights on energy, economics and the future of sustainable systems.
