The transition from law student to legal professional is one of the most exciting — and daunting — steps you'll ever take. There's so much that your degree simply doesn't prepare you for: the culture of a firm or chambers, the unwritten rules of the profession, the realities of different practice areas, and what recruiters are genuinely looking for beyond your grades.
This event brings together what lawyers and barristers have done in order to make it. You'll hear about routes into the profession — whether that was a training contract, the Bar, a legal apprenticeship, or something less conventional — and what the day-to-day of legal practice actually looks like once you're in it.
This is your chance to ask the questions your lecturers can't answer. What does a typical week look like? How do you handle the pressure? What do you wish someone had told you at your stage? Whether you're in your first year still figuring out your options, or a finalist preparing to make your move, this event will give you a clearer, more grounded sense of the road ahead — and the confidence to walk it.
