FCRJ 3rd Anniversary Celebration: Igualada Screening…

The Feminist Centre for Racial Justice (FCRJ) in collaboration with the SOAS Students’ Union, invites you to a special film screening to mark our third anniversary!

Igualada traces the journey of Colombia’s first Afro-Colombian deputy president Francia Mina Márquez. Francia Mina Márquez rose to national prominence as an environmental leader and social justice activist who developed a successful national campaign to become a deputy president candidate alongside Gustavo Petro as part of the “historic pact”. This is a powerful story of grassroots movement building in a complex socio-economic and political environment.

We will be joined by the producers of the film Juan Yepes and Juan Ruiz Zarate for a Q&A after the screening
