The annual SOAS LawSoc Boat Party returns — this time as a Haunted Masquerade. 🦇✨
Think masked faces, your favourite tunes, dancing, and the Thames as your backdrop. 🌌 It’s your chance to meet new people from SOAS and across other London unis, break the ice beyond the usual campus social scene, and start the year with a night to remember.
This year’s theme leans dark and elegant: masquerade with a gothic edge. Dress to intrigue — sharp tailoring, statement outfits, and a mask that turns heads. If you’re feeling daring, throw in a costume twist. Make it your own and make it memorable!

Boarding Time
Boarding will begin at 6:30 PM. The vessel will depart promptly at 7:15 PM. Late guests will not be accommodated, so please arrive on time.
Food and Drinks
No outside food or drinks are allowed while boarding the vessel. Any items found during the security check will be confiscated and destroyed. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase on board.
Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the vessel. Guests may smoke only on the outside open decks.
Dance Floor Rules
Drinks are not permitted on any dance floors to ensure safety and prevent spills.
Behaviour Expectations
We have a zero-tolerance policy for verbal abuse, threatening behaviour, or any dangerous conduct. Guests are expected to act responsibly to avoid accidents and damage the vessel.
Footwear Guidelines
Guests are advised to wear low-heeled, suitable footwear for safety and comfort while on board.
